This was a short stop before going to Brussels but it was definitely with the visit! We got to our hostel at around 11:30am and then headed out to see the cathedral (Dom). We're staying at station hostel for backpackers which is in a great location, its about 200m from the main station which is right next to the cathedral so everything is within a walkable distance. We wondered around for a bit before finding somewhere to eat. We ate in this massive square with lots of street music being played. It was a great atmosphere and the weather was amazing, up to 28°C with a cool breeze. The restaurant we were at had amazing ice creams so we got one of them, Emis was massive! Then we wondered back to the hostel for a nap and a rest to catch up on poor nights sleep. At around 7pm we headed back out to the cathedral and sat and had a schnitzel each, we had a lovely view of the Dom and the haupbanhof station so we sat there for a couple of hours enjoying the city before leaving tomorrow.
Overall Köln is very nice city and I would definitely come here again to explore more of the area.
