Zagreb

We arrived last night at about 9pm in Zagreb! First impressions were that it was quick a safe place and easy to navigate around. We caught the number 6 tram to the main square, this only took a couple of minutes as it was the second stop. Then we walked along Ilica street for about 100m before we came to the road our hostel was at. It was very easy to find because a lot of people who caught our train were heading towards the hostel. We're staying at Chillout hostel Zagreb, I think its my favorite so far! Not only because it has computer access so I can update my blog! But also because it has a really nice atmosphere and the facilities are great. It has a bar and you can buy bus tickets at the hostel to places like Zadar. You can also book trips to Plitvice national park, unfortunately we're only staying here for 2 nights which means we didn't have time to go on this trip but it sounds really fun and is recommended.

We spent today wondering around the town, I googled top things to do in Zagreb and grabbed a map from the hostel. We headed towards the main square where there was a market going on, there we looked for something to eat. I grabbed a chocolate croissant and a jam pancake, it was very yummy although the pancake was very jammy! We sat and ate this outside the cathedral, it's a Sunday so we managed to catch people coming out of the cathedral after their Sunday service. Then we went to the museum of illusions which was a 15min walk away from the square in the direction of our hostel. This cost us 30kuna to get in, but i'd recommend it! We took some great pictures and had lots of fun looking at all the different illusions.

We then went to the museum of broken relationships, this is by far my favorite museum of all time! I'd definitely recommend it, its basically a museum which tells ordinary peoples love stories about their family relationships as well as romantic relationships. Saint Marks church is also nearby so we went to go see that. It has an amazing roof! Emi described it as Lego like, definitely worth a pic!
